The Ellen Show!

Business has been pretty relaxed the last week, so I don't have much to update on. Busy season starts tomorrow! =)

So on a completely photography unrelated note, anyone watch the Ellen show? I have to say, thats one of my guilty pleasures! I watch it every day, and its a solid hour of laughing my butt off! Anyway, yesterday Ellen had a music group I've never heard of on the show, The Bird and the Bee. I went through the rest of the day singing this song, but not really knowing the words. Very catchy, if I do say so myself! Anyway, here is the clip from the show. Enjoy!

Parker Lauren

Last weekend, I got to keep Parker Pooh for a couple of hours! I ran in Target, let her pick out a new dress, and took her to a local park for some surprise photos for Mommy and Daddy! She was absolutely adorable!! Loves the camera, and that camera loves the baby girl!

Parker was actually the reason Photography by Kelli came about! I used to take photos of her with my point and shoot, and her mom loved them so much, I would take more and more and more and more! It was a point in my life where I was trying to decide what to do career wise, and Sherryl's (Parker's mom) reaction to the photos I took made me want to get that reaction for other people, too. Here's Parker Pooh throughout the beginning of PBK:

The first photo, with Parker in her coat, was done with my good old point and shoot!! I found it yesterday, and almost cried when I realized how light it is compared to my D50. I need to start lifting weights for wedding season. Or maybe camera lenses. =) The second is my first trip out with my Rebel XTi, which I bought a couple years ago.



And here I am now, shooting with the big guns! =)

Brides of Texas Bridal Show!

It's official! I'll be at my very first bridal show this Sunday, February 22nd! Brides of Texas is putting on a great show at the Special Events Center in Garland, Texas. Located right next to Naaman Forest High School and the Tollway, it's easy to find! Davids Bridal will be putting on a fashion show, and about 40 vendors total will be there! I'll be the best photographer, though! ;) If you've been hunting for some wedding vendors, I'd really suggest checking it out. If brides pre-register, there is no fee! Otherwise, it's $10 at the door.

If you've been hoping to set up a time to meet with me, Sunday would be a great day for it. My booth will stand out (trust me, I have a plan!) and I'd love to discuss your wedding day with you! I'll also have some photos available to see, along with information packets. If you have any questions about it, feel free to shoot me an email!

Kacye's Bridal Shoot

So last Saturday we got out and shot Kacye's bridal portraits. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten together with Kacye, her fiance Phil, and their daughter Kelsi to shoot them! They are keeping me in business!! ;) The weather was ALMOST perfect for a shoot!! Clouds everywhere; YAY! Unfortunately, just so I wouldn't have it too easy, the wind gods were out and about! We'd get set up for a perfect shot, I'd step back, and the wind would make an appearance, blowing her dress all over the place! Luckily, she had her 'posse' with her! Four of her friends showed up, and helped keep me sane! I can't wait for the wedding day, which is coming up soon now!

Woohoo! Time to introduce the new logo! Cuteness is one of my weaknesses, I'm afraid, so I'm a sucker for cute logos! Thanks so much to Candace at simplewishstudio.com for being as creative as she is! She also designed my previous logo, but I knew as soon as I saw this one, there would be no going back! =)
